It's Been a While...
I think we can all agree, this has been the longest year ever, and it's only half done.
My family had a lot going on in the first two quarters. And as it stands, so have a lot of folks out there. So, if I’ve been slack in my duties to the blog and to you, my subscribers, I truly apologize.
I wanted to go over something today that I began in my Mischief Makers Newsletter and that is - resolve.

So, things are heating up in the United States and I just want to make a statement. Take care of yourself and your community… your family. Things are rough. But what do we do? We KEEP GOING.
Something I do to keep going is read and write. I watch. I take note. I observe and I make sure people get the word. I keep my friends safe and cherish my family, those who are part of me. Never pretend the hurts away, but remember to make a better day.
Getting lost and away from reality, especially when reality is as topsy-turvy as it is right now, is self-care. Do not be ashamed of it. But also do not turn away from the work and the effort that we must extend to make our reality something we are proud of. Stay safe and keep going.
That being said, I am continuing my writing career. I have several anthology submissions planned, I have several collaborative projects planned, I will be taking part in several authortube events up and coming, the hubs and I are still actively taking clients on both sides (WTCCreatives Websites and Blurbing with Rach), I plan to get back into article writing this month, and I am working on Heart Breathings’ answer to the end of NaNo by undertaking the Rough Draft Challenge (RDC) in July.
Our beta readers already have almost all of Book Four of the Dragon Tasker Series and this RDC will focus on Book Five - the FINAL book in the main urban fantasy / paranormal romance series. Will you jump into it? I find writing challenges always push me to get a lot done. And since the first half of the year was a BUST -
I NEED THESE CHALLENGES TO CATCH UP!
I know Mama Magie Ward is organizing an August 80K (80K - 48K - 18K) Challenge. I will be partaking in that as well. On the backside of those, I will be revising what I get back from beta readers and sending those on to my lovely editor-in-chief.
What have you been up to? Getting some things accomplished despite the wildness of life, work, household, family, friends, and politics?
I also wanted to mention some new or improved resources for authors. I share things via NOTES or reposts whenever i can, but some things I want to be sure you get and don’t overlook. So, here we go:

Don’t forget to KEEP GOING, but at the same time, take some breaks and keep your work-life balance to keep your brain and soul happy! I take breaks by having some movie watch time with friends and family as well as by playing video games. We will be setting up a regularly scheduled stream for this soon, just to prove that we are serious about refilling our creative well. It’ll be at night and on my regular YouTube channel - which WOOHOO has over 300 subscribers! Come join us for that and also for my productivity sprint streams on Thursday afternoons. The writing sprints are PG-13 and the gaming sprints might get spicy from time to time.
Us gamer-girls tend to cuss…
